Free - Intro to Needle-Felting, Needle-Punch and Wool Embroidery Projects for Autumn

  • Urban Sanctuary 1221 Myrtle Avenue Enumclaw, WA, 98022 United States (map)

This is not representative of the craft we will be exploring - but an autumnal vignette you could simulate with felt and wool.

Needle-Felting: Using wool roving & a very sharp barbed needle to make a 3-D firm object/shape or a flat image/picture.

Needle-Punch:  Using a special needle~punch tool and floss, create a mini~rug textured image. You can finish it into an embellishment, framed picture or shelf~sitter or ?

Wool Embroidery:  Simple edging stitches on wool pieces create sweet seasonal décor. Use as separate décor items or as a vignette with 1, 2, or all 3of the techniques.  Curious?

Come learn what all is involved to create fabulous seasonal decor with a variety of fiber, threads and tools. Sample the techniques to see if you like any or all of them, then sign up for a class, choose your kit and learn what other supplies/tools you may need. Each technique will be taught several times through the month of September in order to be ready for your fall holidays.

In October and November, we will be offering more holiday ideas for Christmas decor and gift-giving.

We can accommodate up to groups of eight, so grab some friends and have a fun night out in a lovely setting.
